Cook Island Congregational Church Grand Conference

A Cook Islands Congregational Church grand conference was held from June 3 to June 4 1977 at the PICC Church hall at Edinburgh St., Auckland, to coincide with the Pentecost celebration back in the Cook Islands.

One of the main purposes of

the conference was to discuss ways and means by which the people of the Cook Islands here in New Zealand under the PICC of New Zealand could live harmoniously and cooperate in whatever ways possible to make their stay here a purposeful one. On Sunday at five in the

evening a combined church service was held at Edinburgh St in the PICC Church hall, followed by combined singing (Biblical compositions) and verse debating, which finished after midnight. A great feasting took place after that, which was followed by a midnight dance
