V. ELECTION NOTICE. Electoral District of the Goldfields. TN Pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled " The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," I, Henry Wirgroan Robinson, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the Goldfields of Otago, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the twenty-eighth day of April, 1865, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a Member of the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at the Court-house, Lawrence—Tuapeka—on Monday the twenty-second day of May, 1865, at Twelve o'clock noon, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Monday the twentyninth day of May, 1865.
