V. ELECTION NOTICE. Electoral District of the Goldfields. TN Pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled " The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," I, Henry Wirgroan Robinson, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the Goldfields of Otago, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the twenty-eighth day of April, 1865, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a Member of the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at the Court-house, Lawrence—Tuapeka—on Monday the twenty-second day of May, 1865, at Twelve o'clock noon, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Monday the twentyninth day of May, 1865. Dated this ninth day of May, 1865. H. W. Robinson, Returning Officer.
