WAKATIP JOCKEY CLUB.

The following entries were made last night at Powell's Family Hotel. They fell short of expectations, but it will be seen that the list will give good races. The grand stand is covered in with zinc, and every preparation for the comfort of the members of the club and visitors is being made. The attendance ou<*ht to be good considering the programme. The difficulties the club have had to contend with in the rush to the West Coast should be sufficient cause for all to rally round these, the district races. As we have already said, the sport will be really good, and all the horses are in splendid condition. The open races are post entries. Maiden Plate.
