ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF THE GOLDFIELDS TX PURSUANCE of the provisions of Acta of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled, The Regulations of Election Aot, 1858." and "The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," I, EDWARD CROKER, Returning Officer for the Electoral district of the Goldfields. do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ, bearing date the 30th day of September, 1864, issued under the hand of His Honor the Superiniendent of the Province of Otago, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a Member for the Goldfields, in the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, during the remainder of the term of the continuance of said Council, and no longer, in the place of WILLIAM BALDWIN, Esquire, who has resigned his seat in the said Council; and that the NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES will take place at the Court-house, LAWRENCE, in the Tuapeka District, on WEDNESDAY, the Nineteenth day of OCTOBER, 1864, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on WEDNESDAY, the 26th day of OCTOBER, 1864.
