No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race—except for the Miner's and Packer's Purse, Hack Race, Cheroot Race or Ladies' Race —unless he is a subscriber of £2 2s. to the Race fund. All disputes to be settled by the stewards, and their decision to be final. The rules of the Otago Jockey Club will b e strictly adhered to. Entries to be sent in to the stewards on or before Wednesday evening, 4th May, before 9 p.m., at Buckley's Shamrock Hotel, enclosing entrance money and colors of the riders. Jockey costume insisted upon. Five per cent, to be deducted from all winners, for expenses. Three horses to enter for the Cup and Ladie's Purse, or no race. 281
