It will be admitted that no better evidence of the great curative powers of this expectorant can be offered than the grateful testimony of those who have been restored to health by its use, and the wide-spread popularity which for so long a period it has maintained in the face of all competition, and which has created a constantly increasing demand for it in all parts of the world. As far as possible, this evidence* is laid before the public from time to time, until the sceptical will acknowledge that for all pulmonary complaints it is truly an invaluable remedy. Recent coughs and colds, pleuritic pains, &c, are quickly and effectually cured by its diaphoretic, soothing and expectorant powers. Asthmas it always cures. Consumption.—For this insidious and fatal disease, no remedy on earth has ever been found so effectual. It subdues the inflammation, relieves the cough and pain, removes the difficulty of breathing, and produces an easy expectoration thereby all irritating and obstructing matters are removed from the lungs. Whooping Cough is promptly relieved by this expectorant. It shortens the* duration of the disease by one half, and greatly mitigates the suffering of the patient.
