QUEENSTOWN WEEKLY TRADE
REPORT. Messrs. Bruce, Wood & Co. report:—At their sale on oaturday they had a fair attendance of the trade. The prices realized showed, on some articles, an advance upon the previous rates ruling. The sale lasted till dusk, and several heavy consignments were cleared off. Flour, Adelaide, L 46, Tasmanian, 501b. bags L 45, faulty L 44 10s.; potatoes, small and in poor condition, 5d., prime 6|d.; oats, Calilornian, 20s. 6d. to 228., Molyneux 235.; candles (Hale's) Is. lid.; hams and bacon (Sinclair's) Is. 9d. to Is. 10£ d.; oatmeal 9d.; London soap Bd. to 9£d.; cheese, an old parcel, Is.; coffee 25.; chests tea Lll 55.; geneva 795.; whiskey (Sheriff's) 435.; pale brandy, low, 455., mediums 625.; rum 20s. per gallon. Also the cutter " Maggie Brown" L3l; saddle horse (inferior) L 26 10s.
