A Crinoline Tale.—A good story is now going the " rounds" of the town respecting a lady, r the extraordinary amplitude of whose crinoline got her into a " fix," when leaving a church in the western township, on Sunday evening last. It seems that her crinoline stuck fast in one of the porches or inner doors of the building, where she remained for some time immovably fixed, tugging and struggling to pull through, and threatening destruction to hoops and a general collapse of extended garments. Ultimately she managed to draw back, but was obliged to remain near the door until the congregation had passed out, when steps were taken to release the devotee of fashion from her involuntary captivity.— 2 Ballarat Star, June 3.
