Nomination day: Tuesday, 2nd November ; declaration of weights: Saturday, 13th November; night of general entry: Tuesday, 14th December. Nominations for the Jockey Club Hanlicap and District Handicap will be received by the Secretary up to 8 p.m. All nominations to enclose description, age. pedigree, and latest performance of horses, name of owner and colours of riders, entrauce money, and qualification fees. " District horse " to mean a horse that has been running in the district for at least three months prior to the race, and to be the honafide property of a resident. District to include Hampden Riding of County of Inangahua; together with Lyell Riding, County Buller. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race (except hack races) unless he is a subscriber of 4-1 to the race fund. All hack races post entry, and subject to the approval of the stewards. The decision of the stewards on all points connected with the programme shall be final. Anyone entering a protest must do so in writing within fifteen minutes of the close of race, accompanied by the sum of 4-1, which will be forftited to the race fund should the protest prove vexatious or frivolous. Three acceptance for each event, or the public money will be withheld. Stakes paid less five per cent. FRANK HODGSON, Hon.
