" District horse " to mean a horse that has been running in the district for at least three months prior to the race, and to be the bona fide property of a resident. District to include Hampden Riding of County of Inangahua; together with Lyell Riding, County Buller. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race (except hack races) unless he is a subscriber of £1 to the race fund. All hack races post entry, and subject to the approval of the stewards. The decision of the stewards on all points connected with the programme shall be final. Anyone entering a protest must do so in writing within fifteen minutes of the close of race, accompanied by the sum of £l, which will be forftited to the race fund should the protest prove vexatious or frivolous.
