To the Warden at Murchison— I HEREBY apply for a Gold-Mining Lease of the lands hereinafter described, in accordance with the GoldMining Leases Regulations of New Zealand, and I agree, upon the approval of this application, to execute a Lease upon the basis therein stated, if the Governor shall think fit to grant the same. Amount of capital proposed to be invested —<£12,000. Proposed mode of working the land— Tunnelling and sinking. Precise locality—Owen River, north and adjoining Bulmer Creek Company's lease. Term for which lease is required—ls years. Time of commencing operations—After granting. General remarks—The ground was formerly held by the Natal Company.

The above application and any objection thereto will be heard at the Warden's Office, at Murchison, on TUESDAY, 6th JULY, 1886. Any person desiring to object to the issue of a Mining Lease upon the above application must, within 30 clear days from the date of such application, enter his objection at the Warden's Office at Lyell. No entry will be received for any of the races except on this condition: —That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, whose decisions on all points oonnected with the carrying out of this programme shal be final. In the event of any person entering a protest the sum ot Ml Is must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered. This sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious; all protests must be lodged within half-an-hour from finish of race.
