"CHIC" COMPANY.

Good wine needs no bush, and a really genuine entertainment in like manner needs no puff; therefore, we think it almost unnecessary to put forth to our readers the particular excellence of this performance. Messrs Foley and Berkley, who, accompanied by Miss Laurie Bloom, a clever actress, and al-o the possessor of a soprano voice of excellent quality, arrived in our township yesterday, and will give their clever entertainment in tha large room of the old Commercial Hotel on Saturda) evening. For the benefit of our readers, who may not be acquainted with the virtues of this performance, we append an extract from the Nelson Colonist, of February Ist" A splendid audience assembled at the Theatre on Saturday to witness the initial performance of Messrs Foley and Berkley's clever and original entertainment " Chic." A more meritorious and genuine entertainment it has not been the good fortune of Nelson playgoers to witness for some considerable time. From the rise to the fall of the curtain a genuine laugh was enjoyed, which frequently resolved itself into decided enthusiasim. We c.in safely recommend any and all who are fond of good singing, clever dancing and efficient acting, to visit " Chic," and much more of a most flattering and gratifying nature too lengthy for insertion." We shall conclude by advising our friends to follow the advice of their Nelson brethern and accord these talented visitors a bumper house.
