IN conformity with the 37th seetion of 14 The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting ofleases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant leases of Crown lands for gold -mining purposes to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such leases. Objections to the granting of such leases, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Lyell, on or before the 18th day of December, 1885. Copy of the applications made and plans annexed may be seen at the Warden's Office at Lyell. Schedule: Applicants : Edward Carton and Peter J. Armstrong. Style under which it is intended to conduct the Business : The Lumsden Gold Mining Company. Area: 16 acres 2 roods. Locality : Eight Mile, Lyell. Mining District: Nelson South-west. Applicant: Alphonso Jecklin. Style under which it is intended to conduct the Business: The General Komaroff Quartz Mining Company. Area: 16 acres 2 roods. Locality: Eight Mile, Lyell.
