(From American Medical Journal, Jan., lSS'l).— Pitzer, M.D., Professor Theory and Practice of Medicine, American Medical College, says :— lt is the best remedy known in typhomalarial, typhoid fever, rysipelas, diphtheria, scarlet fever, smallpox. &c; it effectually retards th« disintegration of the animal fluids, which might result in a general breaking-up #f •til® blood anu in death.
Sander and Son's Eucalypti Extract. (From St. L«ms Electric Medical Journal, Dec, 1881). —Cancer of the Tongue—Patient,:Mrs. , 35 years <9ld. Evidence #f scrofulous diathesis. Prescribed four drops to be taken three times daily ; also, tongue wetted three times with the Eucalypti Extract. Treated as above for four weeks, then discharged cured. (J. 11. Ruttley, M.D., Prof., &c, Philadelphia).—Since, in the case of Mr Mercer, of Kerang, who had been advised 1> v the Medical officers of the Bendigo Hospital to have his tongue rentoved, like splendid results have attained through the application of the Eucalypti Extract. Sander and Son's Eucalvpti Extract. From the Clinical Record, of August, 1881). Surgical Clinic of Professor MMntyre, College of Physicians and Surgeons, St. Louis—Scirrhus of BreastExcision.: Eucalypti Extract employed as spray, and dressing. Eight days after operation Professors Bauer and M'lntyre noted the following condition : JU swelling, heat or discoloration, near or in the wound, wlaich has united fully ; the patient allowed to attend to her household duties again.
Sander and Son's Eucalypti Extract. (Clinical Kecord, Sept. 1880). —The American medical profession uses, in gonorrhoea, as an injection, an emulsion of one ounce gum Arabic, in 30 or 40 ounces of water, applied four times daily. Eight drops given inwardly, onc« daily, prevents effectually contamination of the blood in foul disease.
CAUTION. Sander and Son's Eucalypti Extract, (St. Lous Clinical Eecord, Jan. 18821 —Hazard, M.D. Prof, of Pathology and Diseases of the Mind, states : We have examined half a dozen specimens of Eucalypti Extract. Sander's prepar ttion was tbt only one which corresponds to scientific .tests. Our preparation is the only existing volatile .extract, free of all resinous par* ■tides. All other preparations of the Eucalyptus, no matter wnere manufactured, are crude, resinous oils, irritating aud blistering, rather causing inflamma* tion than staying it, and of "real danger if errcnously applied in throat diseases, &c. Xo bottles genuine except those with labels bearing our signature and trade mark, and secured outside with a pink wrapper and green band, the latter bearing our location and signature.
