Apropos of the grant just asked from Parliament on behalf of the Princess Beatri "e, it may be noted, by the way, that the bargain asserted to have been made between the Crown and the country has proved an advantageous one to our Princes aid Princesses, as a glance at the results will show. In addition to her Majesty's civil list of .£385,000 per annum, tie following annuities are paid to members of the Royal Family : Prince ofWales £40,000 Princess cf Wales 10,000 Crown Prncess of Prussia ... 8,000 Duke of Edinburgh 25,000 Princess Christian of SchleswigHolsteii G,OOO Princess lonise (Marchioness of Lome 0,000 Duke of Cmnaught 25,000 Duchess oiMecklenbiu'g-Sfcrelitz 8,000 Duchess oiCambridge G,OOO Duchess ofTeck 5,000 Duke of Cambridge 12,000 Duchess ofilbany 6,000 With the annuity of £OOOO which has just been 'oted to Princess Beatrice, the total o these grants now reaches £158,000.
