WAR WITH RUSSIA LIKELY.
London, March 9. In connection with ike Anglo-Rusgiati difficulty it has transpired that the Got. vernment has demanded the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from beyond tho Affhan frontier. Tht situation is generally deemed to bs most critical, and active warlike preparations art now proceeding both in England and India, in view ot possible hostilities.
