BOROUGH COUNCILS.
WOOLSTON. The Wools ton Borough Council met last night; present —Tho. Mayor (Mr J• J. Graham), and Councillors G. Lilly, C. Hill, vv. Fuller, F- Newton, L.' Hart, J. Hobson, J. Richardson and D. ITRae. The Finance Committee reported that receipts since last meeting had amounted to ,£GB IBs 2d. There were credit balances of £915 17s 7d on tho electricity account and of £I7GO on the temporary loans account. There was a debit balance of £459 13s 2d on the general account. Tne report was adopted, and account!) amounting to £1746 15s od wore passed for payment. The Hospital and Clinvitabio Aid Board wrote stating that four cases of scarlet fever had been notified in the borough during the month. 'Die Drainage Board wrote with regard to tho water draining on to tho Charlesworth Eatalo, stating that it was not responsibls for lands beiug flooded by tidal water and could therefore not see its way clear lo take anj action in tho matter It was decided to instruct tho foreman to g° into the matter again and report.
