POULTRY. Ther6 was an excellem entry of poultry at the saleyards on Saturday. Prices wore exceptionally good tor the prime ■ qualities. Table ohiokens realised 7s 9d to lis Jd, hens Os 3d to 8s 4d, pullets 5s to lis Sd, ducks 7s to 10s 3d, geese 8s fo lis, turkey hens 8s to 16s, turkey gobblers 16s to 32s per pair. Thsro was a good entry of prime quality birds at another saleyards on Saturday. There was, however, an absence of ducks, turkeys and gecte, for which there wis considerable inquiry. Prices realised were as follow:—Hens, 5s lOd to 8s; late pullets, 6s 7d to 8s; roosters, 4s 8d to 10s id. EOGS. The supply of eggs continues very heavy, and is met with equal demand. " Entries of stock for Friday's market at Loeston comprised a low umall lines of sheep, CO fai pigs, IBG store pigs and 90 head of cattle. The demand for store, sheep was very keen and prices in consequenco were firm. Fat stock of all kinds so:d ex-
ceptionally well, and store pigs showed a marked advance. Ths prices for stores were much better proport.onaiely than fats. The demand for good dairy cows wasl keen, but few animals of good quality were' offered. Some-of the cattle were -in very pocr condition and there was a fair percentage of young cattle. 9d and fat wethers at 23s 3d. A few Hno3 of wheat changed hands at the following .rates: —Velvet, 5s 8d net, delivered at country mill from a cartinj distance; Solid Straw. Tuacan, 4s lOd net, country station; Marshall's White, 4s 9c? net, country station; p. mixed line comprising Velvet, Marshall's White and Sen. sation, 4s net, country station. Potatoes have improved in for freshly picked over table tubers, with few iirstclaßs lots offering. Sales of Up-to-dates have besn made at £7 10s net at country stations, »nd £3 net, delivered Oamaru. CLEARING SALES. Pyiw and Co. report holding a most successful clearing saio -at Lobum, on account of Mr E. Duncan.
