Rawnsley, who has removed to Timaru, presented the prises won during the 'season's play. . , , In doing so, Mr Elliot apologized far the absence of the vice-president, and referred in warm • terms ■ to the sp'endid services rendered to the club by Mr and Mrs Rawnsley. Tho prosperous condition of the club was in no duo to tho attention given by the secretary, Mr J M. B. Crawford. The club was in a

time and money to the upkeep of iho groens, but its policy had been guided by the thought that it should not spend 100 much money while there was so much needed
