THE NEGUS DEPOSED.

Advices from Adis Ababa state that the principal chiefs have deposed the Nc<His, Taj Yasu, G.0.V.0., and have declared the Waizaio, Menelik's daughter, Empress. There was no disturbance. Tho action was. duo to jealousy at the growing power of the Negus's father.
(Lij Yasu, the Negus of Abyssinia, is tho grandson of King Mendik 11.. and though he succeeded to the throne in 1913 ho was virtually ruler under the guidance of Regents from 1909, owing to Menelik's illness. Lij Yasu was born in 1896. His father is lias Mikael, king of the important Wocllo Gallas.)
