LAWN TENNIS.
ADDINGTOtf CLUB. The annual meeting of the Addington Lawn Tennis Cltib was held in the Oddfellows' Hall, Dickens Street, on Saturday evening. In the unavoidable absence of the president (Mr H.. Allison), Mr J. Mtranings presided over a good attendance. The annual report and balance-shoot, • which have been already published, were adopted. Officers were- elected a 3 follow: —President, Dr Marks; rico-presidents, Mesara H. Allison, J. Munnings and H. Dillon; honorary secretary, Mr F. W. Cooper; honorary treasurer, Mr P. Agar; assistant secretary, Misa F. E. Cooper; honorary auditor, Mr W. 0-. M'Gibbon; ladies' committee, Misses R. Mann, M. M'Callum, Shirtcliffo, F. E. Cooper, C. Morton and A. Turner; general committee, Messrs C. P. Agar, A. Derbidge, A. Seagcr, A. Steero, W. Robson, H. A. Bishop and B. W. Pcarcy. Miss Hughes, who had filled the position of assistant secretary for tho past four years, was unanimously elected a life member of tho club. Special votes of thanks were accorded l to Mr H. Allison, tho retiring president, to Dr Mark, tfho newly-elected president, and' to the retiring officers. 'J he club's roll of honour showed that nineteen membors had enlisted out of a total membership of forty men. WAIKARI CLUB. Tho annual mooting of the Waikari Tennis Club was held in the parish room, tho Rev J. Kirkland presiding. . The chairman congratulated tho club on its very succossiul season. Tho ouiance-sheet which showed a credit of .£1.6 :3s Sd, was adopted. Officers wore elected as follow; —Patron, Mr J. Douglas.; president, Mr H. H. Holland'; vico-prosidonts, Rev J. Kirklano* Dr Littlo and Mr J. Jackson; secretary, Miss A. Eughey; treasurer, Mr H. Saunderc'ock; captain, Mr R. Tucker; vice-captain, Mr 0. Blake; auditor, Mr W. T. Lindsay; committee, Mr 3 Tucker, Misses 31. Dron and M'Connoll, and Messrs Tuckor, C. Blako, F. Keppler, H. Saundercock and D. Mueller. On tho motion of Mr C. Blake, seconded by Mr R. Tucker, a vote of thanks was passed to tho retiring prosident and officers and all those who had helped to make the club a success during the past year.
