MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING

SOT7TH CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. The final match of the South Canterbury Miniature Rifle Association championship competition took place at Geraldino. Timaru A tesm won the A championship, Rangitata being the runner-up, and Timaru B team won the B championship, with Arundel A second. For the individual championships, D. G. Cain (Rangitata) and M." Higgins (Timaru) tied, and in shooting off Cain won. In the B grade there was also a tie, G. Pithie and C. Jenkins, of Arundel, being equal, but Pithie won on shooting off. The Hayhurst shield was presented to the Timaru A team, the club shield to tho Timaru x> team and gold medals were presented to Cain and Pithie. In making tho presentations, Major Kennedy commented! on tho good sftootiug and on the excollent arrangements.
