MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
CHRISTCHURCH. Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., presided at tho Magistrate's Court on Saturday. Christopher Inkster, charged witii drunkenness and procuring liquor, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called on. He was warn ed that he was qualifying for the Inebriates' Home. An order to pay 10s a week maintenance towards tho support of his wife was made against C. E. Johnston, the amount which he had beon voluntarily contributing. RANGIORA. Mr C. I. Jennings, J.P., and Mr W. G. Whiteside, J.P., presided at the Rangiora Magistrate's Court on Saturday. William A. Lloyd, alias Michael O'Shea. was charged with having behaved in a disorderly manner at Tuahiwi on Friday evening, when drunk, and with having used obscene language. The charges wero proved by J. H Hadfield and W. K. Green, who said that the accused was a nuisance to the residents at the pa, who were anxious to get rid of him. The accused who had several previous convictions recorded against him, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment faith hard labour, and was warned to keep away from the pa in future.
