MONEY MAKKET. Short loins ore quoted at 5 per cent, compared with i} per cent last week. At this dato last year the quotation was 4J per cent. Three mouths' billy are quoted at 5 9-16 per cent, compared with ol per cent last week. At this date last year the quotation waa 4 1-1 C per cent. WAR LOANS. The 3* per cent British war loan is quoted at £BS 10s, unchanged since last week. The 4J per cent British war loan is quoted at £9O Sis 6d, compared with £96,7s 6d last week. IMPERIAL CONSOLS. Imperial 2i per cent Consols are quoted at £6O ss, compared with £CO last week. At this date last year they were quoted at £65 0b 7&d. COLONIAL STOCKS. Tho following are quotations for colonial stocks, with prices- ruling last week: —

CHEESE. 1 Cheese is strong, but there is little, doing owin-r'. to the uncertainty concerning the Government's intentions. New Zealand, 104 s io 106 s; Canadian, 105 s to 106 s. The Government: is paying 107 s Cd c.i.f. for Canadian, immediate shipment. | . SUGAR. !. Sugar is unchanged. WOOL. There was a very poor selection of wool, and some withdrawals among tho faulties, though ccmoetition was a little better. There was a firm market for «11 good combing wools and crosK-breds at full late rates. The Bradford market was cheerful, and prices aro unchanged, though with a. hardening tendency. I SHARES. I .
