Chicago wheat options aro quoted as follow : —December, 147 cents to 1492 cents; May, 140 J cents to 1172 cents; September, 149]cents. Wheat is inactive, tending to bo easier. WOOL. Thoro was a poor, miscellaneous selection. Faultier were slow of sale. Prices were irregular. Good sorts sold well at late rates. TALLOW. At tho tallow sale, 1929 casks were offered. There was «, good demand, and 1711 casks woro sold. Quotations: —Mutton and' beef, both fine, -435, medium 41s fid. LONDON TALLOW MARKET. Tho following cable message lias been recaived by Messrs Dalgety and Co., Limited, Christchurch, from their London office, dated September 29:—“ Tallow— At the weekly auction, the bulk sold at a decline ranging from 6d per cwt for mierior to Is fid per cwt for best qualities.”
