ADDINGTON CLUB. Tho eighth annual report of the Addington Tennis Club states that the club's usual tournaments and championships were abandoned owing to the war. Financially, the club had improved its position, and tho excess of assets over liabilities was now £B7 Ga lid. Tho proposed opening day of the season was October 7. Of the club’s members who had onlisted, Mr M. B. Atkinson had been killed in action. Other members on active service were Dr Allison and Messrs F. N. Hartley, A. Johnston (wounded), L. Penlington (wounded), It. Jamieson, C. Barker, E. P. Cooper, A. Piercy, F. Ponlington, It. Henderson, E. Earnshnw, K. M’Leod, R. Wilkie and E. Rice. Messrs P. Agar, W. M’Gibbon, J. Watkins and H. Bean liad enlisted.
