A German communique says:—We drove out the -Russians, who were temporarily holding our trenches near Szelwow.
In the snow-covered Carpathians the Russians gained some local successes. (Received September 21, 8.5 p.m.). AMSTERDAM, September 21. '
An Austrian communique says:—' The enemy in the Carpathians continues to attack ’ with .great tenacity and has gained local advantages southward of the Lutzina and the Bystritza, but was repulsed every where else. ,
