CHRISTCHURCH MINISTERS' ASSOCIATION.
MONTHLY MEETING. Tho monthly meeting of the Christ* church Ministers’ Association was held on Monday, at the residence of :ha Rev J. Cocker, Cambridge Terrace. There was a good attendance, and in tho absence of the president, the Bov J. J. North was voted to_ iho chair. The secretary, tho Rev N. Turner reported the decisions arrived at by, sub-committee and the formation of “ Citizenship Crusade,” to be held from October 29 u- Any ember 5. . “r It was decided io hold a service of : intercession in the Salvation Army Citadel, Victoria Street, on September 27. The following motion was carried: “ That this meeting favourably re-; recommends to the various church courtsrepresented by the association that special collection be made, at each ; church on the last Sunday in Nov ; m- ■-» bor in. aid of tho Red Cross Society' and the Y.M.C.A. Hutment Funds.” The Rev A T. Thompson contributed an instructive paper on “The Present Statement of Evolution.” After CS- - - cussion, afternoon tea was Served by the host and hostess, who received’ the ’■ ■ hearty thanks of all present.
