The annual report of the Pacific Cable Board states that the total number of words transmitted was 3,117,839. The revenue showed an excess over expenditure of £197,847. The net revenue account leaves a balance to be provided by the Imperial and Dominion Government of £19,950, or £12,319 less than the deficit of the previous year. (
