RECEIPTS TOTAL £92. As the outoome of the efforts of a number of ladies who inaugurated a Flower Day at Lyttelton on New Year's Day, the Poor of Britain and Belgium Fund and Queen Mary's Red Cross Fund will receive a handsome addition to the sum already subscribed. Although there are several donations still to come to hand, the treasurer, Mr W. The committee also wishes to thank Madame Prendergast, Mesdames Stead, F.. AndeTßon (Lyttelton), Haverfield, A. Boyle, R. Allen, J. Crawford (Lyttelton), Hall W. Holmes, W. D. Stewart, Fleming (Port Levy). Pullen Webb (Papanui), Elworthy, T. Hargreaves, Penrose, Beckett, Garrick, Guy, G. Smith and Gebbie, Misses Tabart. Jesßie Hay, Lewin, Eaton ajid Hutchison, Mr and Mrs Schneider, Mr and Mrs Cyrus Williams, Mr W. Thacker (Okain's Bay), Drs Gow, Simpson. Stevenson and Lcvinge, and Messrs Mark Armstrong, C. Ferrier, O. Bradley, Inwood, Somerneld, A. W. Buxton, W. Jones (Exeter Nurseries), W. Bayliss, W. Nairn and Son, Penrose, F. C. Raphael and J. Norton for flowers, and also a large number of donors who did not forward their names. The following also contributed: —Mr HBrowning (wool), MessTa .1. Ballantyne and Co. (ribbon), G. Beath and Co. (ribbon), Graham, Wilson and Smellie (ribbon). Strange and Co. (butter cloth), N.Z. Farmers' Coop, (safety pins), Ross and Glendining (safety pins), Rose and Hatton (printing), and Miss Stewart. "The Greys" (a saddle). Messrs L. Booth and J. T. Norton provided afternoon tea for the collectors, and Mrs Clark donated a gold greenstone brooch and earrings for disproal towards the funds. Mr Gordon Stewart (Riccarton) £5 15s 2d, and Miss Cook (Lyttelton,) £4 18s, returned the tnis with the largest collections. Miss Jessie Murray, £3 7s Id, also gained distinction amongst the younger collectors. When -the outstanding donations are received and the balance of articles on hand disposed of, it is estimated that over £lO9 will be handed over.
