RIOTS IN NEW YORK.
DEMONSTRATION OF UNEMPLOYED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received January 3, 3 p.m.) NEW YORK, January 2. An unemployed parade demanding Work resulted in a riot. The police clubbed scores of men and many arrests were made. The unemployed attempted rescues, but the police reserves charged the crowd and beat off the demonstrators. Banners were inscribed "All Homeless Men Revolt" and "To Hell with Charity."
