Tho Now Zealand Lawn Tennis Championships were continued hero in good weather and- beioro a largo attendance of the public. The heut was not so great as on the previous davs, and there was a fair breeze blowing from the north-west, but not guififcienfcly strong to interfere with play. Ono final was played, that for tho Ladies Doubles Championship, the holders, .'"'-'’s Gray (Auckland) and Baird (Hawke’s Bay), defeating Misses Brewster (Taranaki) and Campbell (Otago) after a long, close contest. Finals have been reached m all tho other matches, and in the singles Ollivior will meet Jennings, who this morning defeated tho present holder, A. G. Wallace, of Taranaki. Ollivior is out of tho combined championship, but tho present holders «ro still in all tho other evonts. Following ore results:— ■ MEN’S SINGLEB CHAMPIONSHIP. Third Round. Ollivier (Canterbury) beat. Pearse (Canterbury), 6-2, 6-3, 6-4. Semi-final. . Jennings (Otago) beat Wallace (Taranaki), 6-3 6-8, 7-5. Ollivier beat Gosb (Canterbury), 6-2, 6-3, 6»<i. MEN’S DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP. Semi-final. Wallace and Dickie (Taranaki) 'bent Nicholson (Taranaki) and Jennings (Otago), 6-4, 0-6, 8-6, 6-4. LADIES’ SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP. Semi-final. Miss Baird (Hawke’s ‘Bay) beat Miss Campbell (Otago) 1-0, 6-2, 6-1-Miss Gray (Auckland) beat Miss Brewster (Taranaki), 4-6, 7-5, 6-1. LADIES’ DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP. Final.
