NEW ORGANISER APPOINTED. [From Our Corrrespondunt.] INVERCARGILL, February 28. Unofficial information has been ■ received to tho effect that Mr D. Dennehy, of Christchurch, has been appointed organiser for the Liberal Party. Mr Dcnnehy, who is a son of Mr D. F. Dcnnehy, and a native of Westport, has since his school days evinced a lively interest in politics. He commenced life as a gold miner, afterwards taking up sawmill work and employment in timber yards, where naturally ho had tho principles of Labour ground into him. Consequently he has always been an ardent supporter of the Labour cause arid anything that tended to tho betterment of the workers, Mr, Dcnnehy later accepted a position as canvasser for the Now Zealand Government Insuranco Department and proved one of the most successful in' that line of business. The newly appointed Opposition organiser has also a knowledge of political conditions in America and England. Recently on two occasions ho attended the House of Commons and heard sucli famous sneakers as Mr Lloyd George, Mr Balfour, Mr John Redmond and others. Air Dennehy is well known in.sporting circles, being the compiler and publisher of the “New Zealand Trotting Guide.”
