SYDNEY, March 1. Owing to persistent rain the Rosehill races were postponed to Monday. The review of oadets by General Sir lan Hamilton and other events also were postponed. RACEHORSES INCINERATED. ' PERTH, February 27. An extensive bush fire is causing much damage in different parts of the State. At Gingin several thoroughbred horees were incinerated, and at Geraldton two racehorses were badly burned and had to be destroyed. DIRECTOR OF NAVIGATION WANTED. MELBOURNE, February 28. Applications have been invited for the position of Director of Navigation, at a salary of £BOO to £IOOO per* annum.
