CURRENT NOTICES.
The first term at Canterbury College will begin on Saturday, March 14. A meeting of the Proportional Representation Society will be held in the W.C.T.U. Rooms to-night, at 8 p.m. The service in the Grand Theatre tomorrow night in connection with the Central Methodist Mission will be conducted by Mr J. H. Pugh. Mr .Mitchell will be the soloist.
A series of sermons on popular illusions are being given by the Kev J. J. North at the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church. To-morrow evening the third address of the course will he delivered, and will deal with “ The Religion* Tramp’s Illusion that One, Church is a: Good as Another.”
Entries for the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club’s egg-laying competitions will close to-night. ' .
The eighteenth annual meeting of the Canterbury branch of the Navy League will be held on /Monday, March 2, at 8 p.m. On Tuesday, March 3, in the Chamber of Commerce, Mr J. H. Estill will deliver an illustrated lecture on “ London.”
Excursion railway tickets to Motnkarara will be issued from Christchurch, Little River and intermediate stations on March 5, on the occasion of the annual race meeting of the Aharon Comity Racing Club. —-
