Tho main experimental plot this year is devoted to potatoes, being sown in “ Southland Up-to-date,” while in smaller plots experiments in. connection - with" a ! number- of other - varieties of potato are being conducted. About three acres in all are sown in potatoes. Another section" of the experimental work is contained in the plots'devoted to experiments, in foddevt Y'S crops. About thirty varieties,of maize, and plots of silver beet; lucerne, mangels and turnips, in several varieties, and plots of grass of various kinds, are included in the class’s operations. . . *.'
