LIVERPOOL MURDER.
SUMNER’S CONFESSION,

George Ball, alias Sumner, has confessed his guilt in connection with tho murder of Miss Bradfield at Liverpool. He will be exocuted to-morrow. (Received February 26, 10.10 p.m.) LONDON, February 26.
Until yesterday Sumner violently maintained his innocence. Then suddenly he burst into tears when the chaplain visited him and ho confessed to the Bishop of Liverpool when tho latter conferred with Sumner as a penitent. Sumner repeated his confession to his father and asked him to forgive him. His broken-hearted parent was unable to answer and abruptly left.
