MAWSON EXPEDITION.

RETURN FROM THE ANTARCTIC By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright

ADELAIDE, February 26

A telegram has been received inti mating that tho Aurora, conveying .Mawson’s party, has passed Capi Horda. A fitting reception will bo tendered lie party on arrival. AURORA’S ARRIVAL. NO NEWS AVAILABLE. (Received February 26, 10.40 p.m.) ADELAIDE, February 26. Tho Aurora has arrived. Probably little, if any, news will be available to-night, a contract providing that it must he sent to London twelve hours before it is distributed in Australia. THE ARRIVAL AT SEMAPHORE. LITTLE ENTHUSIASM EVOKED. (Received February 27, 1.5 p.m.) ADELAIDE, February 26. Tho Aurora anchored at Semaphore. Her return aroused little enthusiasm. Only a small crowd watched her arrival. A number of launches, one bearing representatives of the University and another laden with Pressmen went to tho anchorage and greeted the explorers. The Pressmen had their journey for nothing, Dr Mawson informing them that much information, which otherwise would have been interesting, was exclusive and could not be given out. Considerable indignation was expressed that Australia, which provided a large portion of the funds of the expedition, had been robbed of the right of publishing early information of the doings of the explorers, and was compelled to wait until a London paper exercised its exclusive rights of publication.

So far as is known all the explorers returned safe and much valuable data was secured, but even on these points nothing really definite was obtainable.

Probably the story of tho expedition will be available to-morrow.
