The closing date of tho Auckland Exhibition has been fixed for Saturday, March 28, which will make its period from the opening ceremony seventeen weeks. The question was decided by a meeting of the exeoutive this afternoon. A proposal that the extension should be until April 18 was defeated. , A statement of the financial results from the southern tour of the Royal Artillery Band was made. Twentyone concerts were given, the gross proceeds being £3060 8s 3d. The expenses were £lslO 16s, leaving a profit of £1549 12s 3d. The cost of the band to the Exhibition during the three weeks was £9OO, so that the actual profit on the tour was £649 12s 3d. F/ The present financial position of Hie Exhibition is that there is a credit balance of £7158, and the Commissioners have to meet liabilities exceeding that amount. There are to be taken into account the prospective proceeds from the sale of the buildings, which cost about £25,000, and the fact tha„ £6OOO has already been expended on the permanent improvement of the Domain.
