ADMIRALTY AND THE , DOMINIONS. RETIRED ADMIRAL'S CRITICISMS. " Times "•—Sydney " Sun" Special Cables. LONDON, February 24. Admiral William Henderson, in a letter to the Press, accuses the Admiralty of want of a settled policy respecting the dominion navies and the Pacific. He insists that, if the policy adopted by Australia .in 1911 had been given sympathy ' and support, all the dominions - would soon have come into line. ~-,/. Unhappily Canada had been encouraged to reverse that policy, whilst Australia's enthusiasm had been met by lukewtirmness.Ho} toncludes, '" We encourage the Turk© and Greeks to build and organise their navy by lending them some of our best officers. If we can do it for them we should at least spare no efforts to do it for.the dominions." CANADIAN OIL., NAVY TO HAVE FIRST CALL. " Times." —Sydney " ffnr. " Special Cables. OTTAWA, Februray 24. A Bill has been introduced in Parliament prohibiting the export of oil in times of emergency. This step has been taken at the instance of the Admiralty in order to preserve the oil for the use of the fleet in the event of war. A TEST OF MOBILISATION. LONDON. February 24. < Mr Winston Churchill, replying to the Marquis of Tullibardine, stated that it had been decided to test the mobilisation of the third fleet this year instead of holding manoeuvres, thus saving the expense.
