Bv Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright "BETTING AT ATHLETIC MEETINGS. SYDNEY, February 24. A movement is afoot to secure an Amendment of the Gaming Act legalising betting on athletic, swimming and cycling meetings. The League of Swimmers unanimously rejected a motion favouring a deputation to the Minister to support the movement.
