SPECIAL LOANS. TN the matter of "The Municipal Corpora--1 tiona Act, 1908,’’ and the Acts amending tho same, and the “ lx)cal Bodies’ Loana Act, 1913." - .• T j. It is hereby publicly notified that the Lyttelton Borough Council proposes to raise Special Loans as follows: : 1. A. LOAN 01*' £BOOO FOR THE ERECTION OF A WORKER’S DWELLING, (n) The particular purpose for which such Loan is required is the crectibn oi a Worker’s 'Dwelling (Lodginghouse) m Oxford Street, Lyttelton, under Part. 88 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908.” , , (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £OOO9 (six thousand pounds). (c) The proposed security for the Loan is a Special Rate of two and five-eighths ponce in the £ upon the rateable value of . all rateable property m the Borough of Lyttelton., It. is proposed to repay the Loan out of tho surplus derived from the rate, but in the event of the surplus not being sufficient the balance will be repaid by means of a fresh loan. _ (d) It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising the Loan and tho interest for the first year. 2. A LOAN OF £3OOO FOR THE EREC- . TIOX OF WORKERS’ DWELLINGS, (a) Tho particular purpose for which the Loan is required is tho erection of Workers' Dwellings (separate dwelling houses) under Part 38 of “ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908.” lb) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £3OOO (three thousand pounds). (e) The proposed security for the Loan is a Special Rato of ltd (one penny halfpenny) in the £ upon the rateable Value of all rateable property in the Borough of Lyttelton. It is proposed to repay the Loan out of the surplus derived from the rate, but in the event of the surplus not, being sufficient the balance will be repaid by means of a fresh loan. (d) It is'proposed to pay out of the Loan the cost cf raising tho Loan and tho interest for the first year. 3. 'A LOAN OF £7OOO FOR TOWN HALL. (a) The particular purpose for which such • Loan is required is the building and furnishing of a Town Hall. (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £7OOO (seven thousand pounds). . (c) The proposed security for the Loan is a Special Rato of threo and threeeighths pence in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Lyttelton. It is proposed to repay the Loan out of the surplus doriveu from tho rate, but in the event of the surplus not being sufficient tho balance will be repaid by means of a fresh loan. (d) It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising the Loan and the interest for the first year. 4. A LOAN OF £IOOO FOR STABLES. (a) The particular purpose’for which such Loan is roquired is the building of Municipal Stables and Cart Sheds, fb) The sum proposed to be borrowed foT such purpose is £I6OO (sixteen hundred pounds).
