BIOOK AKD STATIONS. At the Addington Yards on Wednesday there was a small attendance of the trade, and the biddings were again very dail for all descriptions of stock. Fat Sheep.—Only a small entry came to hand, the quality of which comprised princi-' pally light and medium weights. There was s great want of competition at the commencement of the irale, bat towards the close prices improved Bli||htly. Best lots sold from 8s 6d to 9a 9d; good ditto, from 7a 3d to Bs. We quote lid per lb at an average for mutton. Fat Lam:bß.—Thero was a good supply, the bulk comprising prime and good quality, for which thure was keen competition. Prime lots sold at from 8a to 9a; good ditto, from 6s 6d to 7s 9d. A few lines of store sheep were offered, but owing to the scarcity of buyers no business was effected. Gatixb. —A large supply of fat cattle was submitted, several drafts being of prime quality sorts. Prices about equal to late rotes were obtained. We quote 20s per 1001 bas na average. A limited supply of stores was brought forward, only a small proportion of which found a Bale. LytUlton Times Office, Wednesday Evening, OTJBTOMS' EBYaBTJB. Messrs Miles Baos. & Co. report under date Hov. 18, as follows : Wool - Daring the past fortnight the private enquiries for Colonial wools have been more numerous, and firmer prices have been obtained for garcelflwbioi have ch&sged hands. A very good asiness U doing in our woollen distriets, and, not. withstanding ttie large purohases made at our August series, slocks in manufacturers' hands are reported to be anything but large; consequently, good merino and cross-bred wools are expected to meet with a brisk demand at our next sales. At the Antwerp auotious, which commenced on Nov. 8, prices have «a tranced for Biver Plate wools, and nearly ail the parcels as yet brought forward have been disposed of. Uur next series, to open en Not. 22, will close on Dec. 12, and, including some 4 ,000 bales old wool, the total quantity for disposal will probably amount to 126.C00 bales, of which about 20,000 bales will be of the new Australian clip. Of the recent importations, 1000 biles of Australian and 13,000 bates of Caps wool have been forwarded direct from sn.-p to Yorkshire and the Continent. The freih arrivals to date are— Bales. Hew South Wales and Queensland 14,056 Victoria 14,801 Kouth Australia 7,653 'i'aamaaia 1,553 New Zealand 9,039 Capo of Good Hope 39,287 Total 86,419 Wheat, Fixua, 4c—There has been no alteration in tne price of Colonial wheat since our last, but our mark' is in nevertheless sot very active; for although <:>df twiners' deliveries show a falling off, the shipments from California to this country continue heavy. There Lave been some con. siderable arrivals from St Petersburg and the East Indie*. Eaten for these descriptions have declined, the quality of the shipments from South huauia being such as to render the same unsaleable for our Hi.me requirements. The quantity on passage from 11 ports ii 2,360,000qr5j as against this time lost year; while the visible supply i i America is stated at 21,200,000 bushels. Uur stocks of New Zealand, which had fallen rather low, have beeu augmented by several arrivals during the tost week, but business in these £efloriptions is rather restricted. We quote, on spot, long.b»rried, 55s to 57a and 52s to 63s Cd for fair, ordinary sorts. Off coast, the Sarah Scott is held for 525. Flour is quiet except for tbe be't brands. Buperflne Australian in worth sl*, and household 88s per 2801bs ; New Zealand, 38s to 38s per gßolbs. Oats are slow of sale. We quote fine hewy Hew Zealand, 28sto3i»; and ordioary,2*s to 28aper Imperial quarter. Supplies of good malting barley have been rather limited, and we quote New Zealand 38s to 43s per 4Aiibn ; inferior sorts are easier. Beans are in fair demand, and we quote New Zetland 45s per 5041bs ex store.
