The Tima to-day publishes a telegram from its Paris Correspondent, stating that England and France have agreed to an identical note undertaking to guarantee order under the Khedive’s authority in the event of an outbreak occurring in Egypt. The trial of Guitean for the murder of President Garfield oontinues. The evidence that is now being taken is in favour of prisoner’s sanity. THE RUSSIAN WAR INDEMNITY. ST PETERSBURG, Dec. 31. The Journal de St Petersburg publishes an article in to-day’s issue in which it protests against the tribntes received by the Ports from Bulgaria and Ronmelia being assigned for the payment of the claims of foreign bondholders. The Journal adds that Russia claims priority in the disposal of such revenues for the payment of war indemnity in accordance with the olanses of the Treaty of Berlin.
