OXFORD.
The usual fortnightly meeting of this Board »m held on Friday, Deo, 23 j present Messrs Wilson Fisher (chairman), Bennett, Ingram, and Lworg,—Tbo Chairman read a letter from Mr Ffltche, apologising for hie absence from the meeting,—The Clerk’# report t« read and coneidered, and the following work# sanctioned .'—Carting shingle to fill rule on M'Jarrow’s road, and carting broken metal on to Raider's road.—The Clerk was ioitructed to order 200 dog collar# from Mr Soott.—Mr White waited upon the Board, and asked to hare something done to make an approach to the aide school at West Oxford, and whether the Board would do the work, aa he hollered a culvert had been pot in for the Knit Oxford school by the Board. The Board decided to call for tenders for the work, but the Committee would bare to keep it in repair.—A letter was read from Mr Prichard, asking for permission to erect poste and a rail at the edge of the footpath in front of his store on the terrace, to tie horse# to. The request woe granted.—The Clerk was instructed to report upon gone fence at Mr Wilson Fisher’s, and the cost of removing the same.—Accounts to the amount of £2lO 14s were passed for payment, and the Board adjourned.
