In Bsriia some of the restaurants and cafes have adopted plates made of paper for serving bread and butter, rolls, cakes, buns and similar articles. It is probable that further use may soon be made of so safe and cheap a substitute for pottery. In the restaurants of Holland the pretty serviettes of thin paper, which the public take away if they please, have been long used.
