CRICKET.

ELEVEN WANDERERS t. AN ASSOCIATION TWELVE. This match, begun on Saturday, will he continued to-day, commencing at half* past ten. So far the game has not been re* markable for anything except a good deal of stubborn, defensive, and very slow scoring. For the Association, who von the toss, Mr Strange showed by far the best cricket. Mr Fowler, indeed, looked dangerous, bat a length ball on the leg-stamp cent him away somewhat unexpectedly, when he had put 18 together. Mr Philpofs innings was a steady and painstaking display, by no means devoid of promise, though spoiled towards tho end by no less than four chances off the bowler, who eventually got rid of him. At a quarter to six the Wanderers went in. HaH-an-nour sufficed to lose them three wickets. Mr Million's dismissal was his misfortune, not his fault, but the other two were bowled in the most nomisUkeable manner by slow break-backs. Score so far ASSOCIATION, Ist inning*. H.
