CONSTANTINOPLE, Dec. 22, Mr O’Donovan, formerly co rrcspoadent of the London Da% News with the Russian Expedition to Mere, has .been arrested here for publicly slandering the Saltan, O’DONOYAN’S SENTENCE. Mr O’Donovan was sentenced to sis months* imprisonment for libelling the Saltan. Lord Dufferin, British Minister, is interesting himself with the Porto on behalf of the prisoner. THE TURKISH DEBT. CONSTANTINOPLE. Dec. 23. The Russian Government is opposing the settlement arrived at between the foreign bondholders’ delegates and the Ottoman Financial Commission, on the ground that it pledges the expenditure of certain new revenae* of the Turkish Empire.
