A letter was read from the Sydenham Borough Council, complaining of the state of the old bed of Jackson** Creek, and of th« stagnant water in the gullic# in the Hon 3. Halt’# and Mr Lanrester's properties, 88. 18 and © j *l*9, complaining of riptthi old clay pit*, An. The Chairman #*id it would b» advisable that Die Sydenham In»pretor should giro the information ereteaary to secure the abate* rnent of the nuiwuvce complained of. The Board revolved to inalmel if# In* specter to act in concert with the Sydenham Inspector. A letter from Mr Songry, master of the 8l Alban'* school, »** reported upon by the Inspector, who Mated that the school authorities only act upon a direct communication from the Board. The Board determined to write to the school authentic#. The Inspector reported that the fst-melt* log at Hancock’# soap factory had wared. ACCOfSte. Account# to the amount of £44 IB* KM ware pasted for payment, Tim meeting then doted.
