William Qawee, at tbe Police Court to-dav, was committed far trial for a brutal aeeanit on bis wife. The evidence, which disclosed very brutal treatment, was heard with locked doors. He struck her severely about tho head and face. He was drunk, but knew whet he w»* doing.
